Fast charging in every position

With the Qi-compatible Fast Wireless Charger, VARTA Consumer Batteries presents the third and fastest generation of its wireless charging solution in an elegant aluminum look. Unlike its two predecessors, the Fast Wireless Charger can be used in several different charging positions. Thanks to its modular design with removable stand, it can charge a smartphone when the phone is positioned in vertical format, horizontal format or lying flat. The horizontal format is especially useful for TV fans, for example, when they don’t want an empty battery to keep them from viewing the final episode of a TV series. Four rubber feet on the bottom of the housing and a nonslip film on the stand guarantee secure stability in every position.

The flexible charging processes are made possible by a new induction coil system which relies on a double coil inside the Fast Wireless Charger. This solves a familiar problem that troubles many wireless chargers: smartphones do not charge even though they seem to be lying on the charging station as usual. That’s because the charging cycle doesn’t start unless the two individual coils of the wireless charger and the smartphone lie exactly on top of each other. Thanks to the two coils in the Fast Wireless Charger, the smartphone can now be charged in almost any position. Depending on how the smartphone is positioned, one of the two coils switches on and fills the battery. If the Fast Wireless Charger is connected to a wall adapter that supports the Quick Charge 2.0 standard or higher and the included Speed Charging Micro USB cable is used, the Fast Wireless Charger’s two coils send fresh energy to the smartphone with up to 2 A / 10 W output power.
