The new High Energy POS campaign by VARTA Consumer Batteries

Batteries do not just power devices – this winter, consumers who purchase VARTA’s High Energy batteries have the chance to win a great winter adventure and “Feel the Power” first hand.

Wintry POS campaign increases sales


Darkness creeps in a little earlier every day and temperatures sink. In the winter months, the need for light and warmth increases and makes playing and relaxing at home more appealing. This is when things like fairy lights, Christmas decorations and battery-powered Christmas presents like toys are called into action, increasing the use of batteries in private households especially during this time. In the winter months before and around Christmas, battery sales in German retail increase by more than 135%* relative to the spring period. The successful VARTA High Energy batteries in particular are predestined to bring these electronic devices to life − safely and for a long time. End consumers are therefore guaranteed to literally feel the powerful punch that these little cells pack.

Striking POS displays and blister packs attract attention


The polar bear is a powerful key visual of the ‘Feel the Power’ campaign and impressively comes into his own in visually attractive POS displays in a range of shapes and sizes. In addition to this, the sweepstake is advertised on the blister packs themselves, inviting consumers to take part in a winter adventure to Finland. Customers can use a QR code to take part in the competition directly and are reminded of their chance to win right away when they take the batteries out of their packet at home, as the promotion is visually depicted on the emotionally charged High Energy packaging itself. The High Energy ‘Polar Bear’ 10-battery promotion pack is available in the most important sizes, AA and AAA.

A powerful all-rounder


High Energy batteries are the champions among VARTA batteries and were developed specifically for use in devices with high energy consumption – including in particular, toys, computer accessories and flashlights. Due to their long shelf life of ten years, they are perfectly suited for use during the long winter season and Christmas holidays or for stocking up on battery provisions.
